GODDARD – This city of 4,600 residents will be featured in a segment of Today in America, hosted by Terry Bradshaw.
City council approved the $24,800 licensing fee to own the segment, which gives the city complete licensing rights so the video can be used locally.
The series features 30 minutes of paid programming that is aired 20 times on regional networks.
Goddard will be featured as a Community of Distinction in the Heartland.
The segment will include footage from Goddard Fall Festival, the community’s largest annual event.
Derby paid $19,800 in 2011 for its partnership in the production of the show, which featured Derby in a five-minute segment as part of its Hidden Gems to Live, Work and Play series.
Funding for Derby’s segment came from monies gained through fireworks stand permit fees.
