Arbbara Lora McQuigg

Arbbara Lora Vineyard McQuigg, age 92, of Miami, Okla., peacefully passed away from this life at her home on Friday, April 6, 2012. Services were held Tuesday, April 10, at Miami Friends Church. Burial followed at the Wyandotte Cemetery.

Arbbara was born in Lawrence County Missouri, October 7, 1919, to Leonard Harvey and Mary Ruth (Stinson) Vineyard. In 1945 she married Clark McQuigg.

Arbbara was very active in the Miami Friends Church as a Sunday school teacher and clerk. She was active in PTA at Rockdale School where she returned as a first grade teacher for 17 years before retiring.

Arbbara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dr. A.C. McQuigg Jr.; her parents; brother, Dr. Ben Vineyard of Pittsburg; and sister, Della Vineyard of Wyandotte, Okla.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jan Thomas and husband Dr. Roger of Derby; Dr. Clark McQuigg and wife Janie of Miami; and Dr. Alan McQuigg and wife Sara of Miami; 11 grandchildren, Kristy Sowden (David) of Derby, Kimi Moon of Castle Rock, Colo., Rachel Thomas of Frisco, Texas, Addison McQuigg of Los Angeles, Calif., Megan Frazier (David) of Miami, Carter McQuigg (Stefani) of Tulsa, Okla., Chelsea McQuigg, Charlie McQuigg, Kayla McQuigg, Michael Crockett, Kaitlyn Crockett, all of Miami; six great-grandchildren, Ashton Sowden, Coen Sowden of Derby, Lucy Moon of Castle Rock, Cadence Frazier, Blake Frazier and Hadlee Frazier of Miami; brother-in-law, Marion L. McQuigg of Tulsa; sister-in-law, Katherine Vineyard of Overland Park; and many nieces and nephews.
