Virginia L. "Ginny" Hartenberger, 87, born Sept. 5, 1924, in Shamrock, Okla. to Luther and Vergie Abbott, died July 4, 2012 in Wichita. There will be no services.

She retired from the Boeing Company after working in the Wichita and Renton facilities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; brothers, Claude and Arville; her companion and friend, Kathleen Brankley.

Survivors include son, Robert of Newton; grandson, Aaron of Surprise, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Marsha Abbott of Wichita; sister, Betty Young of Derby; nephews, Greg and Cynthia Abbott of Clearwater, Gary Abbott of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mike and Glenna Young of Derby; niece, Linda and Jon Shortt of Milton, Ont.; many great nieces and nephews, including Charles Zimmerman of Wichita.
